Celebrating wild spaces, the gorgeous green tropical diversity and my daughter's end of mid-term exams? it demanded an exceptional coffee and a mango lassi at Wild on a lush, steamy Wednesday.
Let it be said this is a hidey-hole on the outskirts of Chiang Mai that isn't known to many locals. In fact, the first 2 times we tried to go here for coffee, we couldn't find it at all. Marketing is not their strength, but vibe, decor, great local coffee and a seriously nice bistro menu are.
We are deliberately sharing this on Hive and #3speak rather than any nasty main-stream social media - the thinking people who search and find this online are unlikely to over-run it to the point where it loses its "special" & private feel.
Yes, Chiang Mai, Thailand IS FULL of niche places like wild - jungle cafes, places on mountain tops, in rice fields and in tiny sois in the depths of an 800 year old city. It's a coffee lover's mecca - local, organic and world class forest grown beans are everywhere.
First 5 Hivers who arrive in Chiang Mai and connect with me - the coffee's on me while we host our Hive Meet-Up. Yes, @nathanmars 😆 - that DOES include you.
Making the most of the gorgeous places we choose to call home for a while is at the heart of every REAL traveler. Lock downs and no flights? Start exploring, sharing and celebrating LOCAL so that others may enjoy it vicariously, and put it on their bucket list for next year.
Taking your 15 year old out for REAL quality coffee and teaching her how to enjoy and maximize self-care on a working Wednesday? It's all part of a well-rounded global education for the owner of our Thai herbal business. #solomom #entrepreneur
